Pericles is Powerlily's built-in AI assistant. It can answer questions, find records, summarize activity, help with system design, draft communications, extract tasks, prepare catalogue imports, and help write support and company content. What it can see and do follows the permissions of the person using it.
Permission-aware by design
Pericles is not limited to one fixed staff role. It works within each user's existing Powerlily access. If a user cannot view a module, branch, workflow, record, or pricing field, Pericles cannot use the assistant to reveal it.
- Company and branch boundaries still apply.
- Record scopes and workflow restrictions still apply.
- Pricing visibility still applies.
- Actions are checked against the user's permissions before they run.
- Pericles cannot access another company's records.
This makes Pericles another way to work with the information you are already allowed to use, not a shortcut around roles and permissions.
Where you can use Pericles
The assistant
Open Pericles from the app and ask questions in plain language. Conversations are saved so you can return to earlier work. Responses stream while Pericles works, and record results link back to the relevant page in Powerlily.
Inside records and conversations
Pericles can work with the context of a quote, lead, client, or conversation. It can summarize long threads, identify decisions and unanswered questions, and extract follow-up tasks. When mentions are available, mention Pericles to ask for help without leaving the conversation.
Inside editors and builders
Pericles also appears throughout Powerlily wherever AI-assisted drafting or analysis is useful, including support articles, knowledge-base posts, proposal content, and equipment catalogue imports.
What Pericles can help with
- Find and summarize records: locate quotes, leads, clients, projects, invoices, monitored systems, and related activity that you have permission to view.
- Answer product questions: search the Help Center and explain how a Powerlily feature works.
- Summarize conversations: condense messages, comments, and record history into the important decisions and next steps.
- Draft communications: prepare customer emails, internal notes, comments, and other copy for review.
- Extract tasks: turn a conversation or record history into clear follow-up work.
- Assist with system design: help reason through design information and guide supported design actions while keeping the user in control.
- Build catalogue records: read specification sheets, identify product data, flag uncertainty, and stage equipment for human review before it enters the catalogue.
- Write content: draft and revise Help Center articles, company knowledge-base posts, and proposal sections using the available context.
Actions and review
When Pericles can take an action, Powerlily shows what it intends to do and applies the same permission checks as the rest of the app. Review proposed recipients, record changes, assignments, and generated content before approving them.
Catalogue imports use a staged review process. Extracted specifications, evidence, missing required fields, and low-confidence values can be checked before a product is accepted into the live catalogue.
Getting better results
- Give Pericles a clear outcome, not just a topic.
- Name the customer, project, address, or record when several matches may exist.
- Ask for a summary first when a record has a long history.
- Tell it the audience and tone when drafting customer-facing content.
- Review electrical specifications, recipients, and other consequential details before approving an action.
